>Smackdown had one of the most economically challenged (poor) audiences watching compared to the other wrestling programming (AEW/TNA/MLW/CMLL)
>with a 2 million viewer average every Friday and coming out number 1 for the night it was still losing the network millions of dollars in ad revenue
>WWE demanded a bigger TV rights deal for Smackdown for Fox but Fox did not want to keep overpaying for a product that was losing money

WWE Smackdown was unironically one of the biggest TV failures in TV history based on the amount Fox was paying it.

For the moment they seem to be moving on from their feud with the Pure Dyke Collective, and the Lesbian Witches, but we'll continue to keep tabs....)
