Except those same SS divisions fought on until the end or like 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS 1st Galician simply tried to turn tail and run, but once they got out went back to being proud SS units that created clubs and even built monuments to themselves to celebrate themselves including old division markings. Not to mention to this day Ukrainian units seem to have a fascination with Wehrmacht and SS markings and units
